Does Barack Obama have Narcissistic Personality Disorder?

Barack Obama is supposedly unlike any politician who has come before. At least that’s what HE tells everyone. But that isn’t entirely true. He is shrewd and calculating just like the worst of ‘em. He slips, slides and triangulates. But he IS different in one particular way.

While almost all politicians are guilty of some self-aggrandizement, Barack Obama takes it to new levels. There is a good reason why people mock him as Obamessiah, DalaiBama or simply The One. But as silly as those names sound, could this sense be a sign of serious danger? Is the collective unconscious warning us of something about which the conscious public is in denial? Could Barack Obama suffer from Narcissistic Personality Disorder? Read the Mayo Clinic definition and see who it reminds you of:

“Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance and a deep need for admiration. They believe that they’re superior to others and have little regard for other people’s feelings. But behind this mask of ultra-confidence lies a fragile self-esteem, vulnerable to the slightest criticism.”

Barack Obama says, “We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.” Are we sure that the “we” he means isn’t the Royal “We” (Pluralis Majestatis) – as in the Queen of England saying, “WE” – meaning “God and I” – ”are not amused?”

Perhaps someone should give Obama’s medical records — especially the mental health sections — a thorough re-examination. Do we really want this guy’s finger on The Button?

You have got to be joking!! Now Obama is a problem because he is too ambitious? Running for President seems to require an ambitious person. Are you jealous?

Ambition is one thing. Self-aggrandizement and hubris are another. There are too many examples to list here, but among the better-known ones is creating a podium logo for himself that is incredibly similar to that of the President. The jaw-dropped reaction of the press and public resulted in the sign being quickly hidden away. He also created the publicity stunt speech in Berlin — something that would normally be reserved for an actual world leader, not just a political candidate — least of all, a junior Senator. And, as recently reported in the news media, he has even declared himself “a symbol” of the change the “WORLD is [allegedly] waiting for.”

He isn’t just confident or ambitious. Barack Obama believes that it is his God-willed destiny to somehow reshape the world. Tell me… How did you react when George W. Bush acted as though reshaping the world was his destiny? Was he just being “ambitious?”

The average American has “an inflated sense of their own importance.” Barack does think that he is important. He is mildly important in my opinion – anyone in contention for the US presidency is a VIP.

I don’t see how Barack fulfills the latter part of the diagnosis, though:

Has he shown that he thinks he is better than others? Where is the evidence for disregard of other people’s feelings??

This site is the epitome of the word.
God I am so sick of the RNC demeaning people
of color and also of those of differing political viewpoints. I do not go around reminding people of Mr. McCain’s shortcomings, of which there are many or demeaning him in any way and I will not start here.
Is the RNC so afraid of Mr. Obama that the only
path they can see to a win in November is to distort facts and publish fiction?

Distorting facts and prevaricating are the hallmarks of the RNC. Coupled with the present administration’s crimes and lies abundant therin, all I see is ” business as usual. ”

My post will undoubtedly be deleted, I have little doubt about that.

The RNC has every right to their opinions, as do I. My opinion is this, I will take Obama over another 4 – 8 years of lies, deceit, and crimes any day….even if he MIGHT be perceived as slightly ” audacious “.

Why would dissenting comments be disallowed? This isn’t the intolerant echo chamber of a liberal blog.

And, by the way, your comments would carry much more weight if you weren’t writing from CANADA.

But that aside, you say that there allegedly are comments that are demeaning on the basis of color. Please find ONE that attacks Mr. Obama based on his race.

If anything, the Democratic Party should be embarrassed for the way it has treated people of color for many, many years — as though they are weak, perpetual victims needing the patronizing Democratic Party to protect them from the evils of the world. People like Ludacris should be ashamed for the way they perpetuate the stereotype of the angry Black man who only knows violence. Read the lyrics, it is right there. They aren’t words of accomplishment or empowerment. Instead, they are words of hate and revenge. Ludacris has a powerful tool to reach many, but he chooses to abuse and waste it.

I am a flag waving, born and bred East Coast Maryland born child of the U.S.A.
I love Mom amd Pop, baseball, Nascar, hockey,country and God.

I love people of all races and creeds.
That would include the much aligned and peace loving population of our Muslim citizens. The radicals maybe not so much, the majority of Muslims are kind and decent people however.

I never referred to Mr. Obama in that statement. I speaking of the Republican Party in general terms. However since you have asked
about slurs let me see if I can find some I have heard ever since 2006.

1. Brit Hume once referred to former Senator John Glenn as a “partisan”spearchucker” to describe his role in a Fred Thompson investigation back in his old Senate days on Fox News.

“partisan”spearchucker” is a derogatory phrase for a black male used in reference to his primitive abilities to hunt animals with a long sharpened object.” as defined by the urban dictionary.

2. Senator George Allen, R-VA
“This fellow here, over here with the yellow shirt. Macaca or whatever his name is. He’s with my opponent, he’s following us around everywhere.”
“So welcome, let’s give a welcome to Macaca here. Welcome to America, and the real world of Virginia.”

Macaca is a term used to ” describe a person as a monkey, usually from the Congo ” ( general definition )

3. Rep. Rafael Arza

I believe he was caught on tape referring to a person as the ” N ” word.

4. Fox News continually refers to Mr. Obama
in a picture they display on television depicting the image of the much hated Osama bin ladin. The caption under the televised picture reads ” Obama bin ladin ”

There are many more, but I shall stop here as you only asked for one.

The inferences and undertones of very carefully chosen phrases and references
to race and creed are not lost on the American public. Nor are they lost of people around the world. Good Luck with that. Sadly, you may actually succeed. And therein lies the rub as The Bard would say.

Hey admin, are you so bereft of of a platform to criticise O that you fill this blog with school yard taunts? Is Obama Narcissistic ?! LOL You offered ONE quote in the opening salvo ie that he used the word “we”. That’s so easy to cut down it castrates itself within its own context.
